just go out to a hobby store and buy some transparent black paint... clean off your taillights really good... then spray until its as dark as you want. then clearcoat it for that extra shine. should come out with something like this.

as opposed to this

Didnt want to go too dark, still wanted to have the tint of red, and going to dark is bound to get you hassled by the popo.

true say, the only reason i havent smoked my tails is the same reason... cops. it just gives them an excuse to pull you over and hassle you

why not just vinyl it with a dark tint? then it's removable too.

The easiest way is the spray tint...I picked up the VHT one, worked great!
Jus wipe them down with some rubbing alcohol first to make sure it's really clean...

Well, personally I think its rice.. But I had my tails tinted soon after I purchased my car. It came with ugly altezzas and I didnt have time to look for stock tails. So I tinted the stupid white ones. But I sure as hell got hasseled from the cops.. Several times. No tickets, just warnings.

IMO I think its ugly on any car.. Unless you go the Nawaaz route. Perfect. Not too dark.

i used to have no issues with tinted tails, until i was behind a cav, at night, and almost rammed him cause he hit the brakes hard to burn around a corner... on an 80km/h highway.. and i barely saw the lights go red OR blink, but i noticed it last second as i was within 20ft or so of his bumper

there are varying degrees of darkness that's acceptable, and this case was not it
