skunk2 manifold - huge vacuum leak
I have a big vacuum leak where my skunk2 manifold meets my gsr throttle body.
The gasket is new, and i even tried putting a copper gasket seal around it.
The gasket seal actually made it worse, now the car won't idle by itself because of this leak...
Will over tightening the bolts make it leak that much? I bought it used, so im even thinking that the IM flange may be bent.
Suggestions??

It should work even if yours is a 96. Try cleaning the IACV first, I think you can find that write up he did on it on HT. Its pretty easy, its just a bitch to take out the actual unit itself. Once you take out the unit, just spray it down with some simple green and wait for it to dry before you reinstall it. I think the IACV should be located at the back of the manifold near the firewall. Its a pretty tight spot to work in.
Is your car idling funny? I had a similar problem, but I couldnt figure out what was wrong with it. That was with my stock manifold though.

how do you know there is a leak?
Did you spray it down with some carb cleaner? Did the idle raise/lower when you sprayed it near the throttle body?
A faulty IACV will cause the car to idle like crap....if not stall out.
