Default Returning lowering springs to stock

I did a search and didnt really find what i was looking for so i thought i would post asking my question(s):

I was wondering if anyone knows how much it would cost to have lowering springs on stock shocks returned back to the stock springs.

Also is there anything to look out for when getting a car that is lowered certified, does the car have to be at a certain height, can it be too low to be certified?
Thanks, TripleSM

To take off the lowering springs and place stock springs it will run you about $100-$120 for the labour...at least that's how much it was to put in my buddys Tein's.

As for being certified...my car had a 1.5-1.7 inch drop when I bought it, it was used, but was certified as is. Not sure about regulations though...

The discretion is up to the police officer.

(I personally as well as a couple of other members do the following)

Look up the Highway Traffic Act ("HTA") and look for the appropriate section and print off a copy of the sections that relate to you and your car in regards to modifications and keep it in your glove box or somewhere safe in the car. Uee it as reference if and when the officer pulls you over for that offence. Some police use "the left steering lock to right steeeing lock" rule - if there is no rubbing of the tires with the vehicle then some consider it safe.

Check this link as well

(as previously posted by Blue Dragon in a related thread)

For certification then again it's up to the discretion of the mehcanic/shop and actual ride height of the vehicle.

As for lowering 100-250 for lowering a vehicle through a shop and may or may not include the rear LCA bolt and/or bushing that usually have to be replaced on most honda vehicles because of seizing.

If you have use to a garage, air tools and a couple of friends you can do it yourself. Also check other honda related technical sites for DIY
Spring compressor is a must! to get the OEM springs back on the OEM shock - rental avail at Crappy tire.

team-integra.net

Best resource is the Helms Manual and/or Service Manual for your designated vehicle.

and as glenn (sic1) said, spring compressor rentals at crappy tire are available...

they basically charge you $120 for the spring compressor and when you return it, they refund the $120 back to you.

free rental basically. just be sure all the ---- is in the box BEFORE you leave crappy tire.
