rear compensator arm bolt...
hey guys,
I just took my teg in a few days ago to get a alignment before i get my rims and tires and well...when they went to adjust the rear toe-in the bolt head snapped off. They explained to me to fix it the actual compensator arm would have to be cut, then the nut area on the chassis has to be heated up and the bolt removed with vice grips...then new compensator arm and new bolts...
I was wondering if anyone had any recommended shops that would be able to do this and have expririence as Im kinda scared of this being a rather important thing and don't want any screw ups from some shitty shop just hacking at my chassis to get it out.
Here are 2 pics of what needs to be done...the 2nd is off the general part not on my teg.

gilman auto. go there, he's done it 1000 times. mine are seized to fock so i'm going to grab the adjustible toe links from --------, and have gilman swap em out. i think he's the best there is when it comes to suspension.

Ohh and the reason the shop was messing with them is because both my rear wheels are past the "we can just leave it its not too bad".
well i just called Auto Gilman and was quoted $180 per side. (so far its only 1 BROKEN, but theother might break but he said he could probably free it up)
Acura said $66 for the arm + the bolts so i guess $80 parts...
Now those aftermarket toe adjusters...i found a few online but i don't see any on -------- do you have a pic and price?
Thanks.
Old rusty suspension parts FTL...just like those stupid LCA Bolts lol.

I went to Gilman's recently for an alignment and my rear toe adjusters were seized too. Raymond (Gilman) showed my the rear toe links made by SPC, approx $200.
My friend has a hook up at Marcor, in Hamilton and got an Eibach kit (made by SPC, ironically enough) , for a little less. I managed to actually got the adjusters freed up enough to set the toe in a bit so I don't scrub my new tires ... but the kit apparently is essential when repl. LCA's (which I did also)
I'll get a pic of it when I find it on the SPC site.
