Rad w/ holes in the fins

I bought a fluidyne rad
Theres like 3 holes in the fins area, i guess a fan or some sort was mounted there before will it affect Much of the performance of the rad?

Leak etc?

shouldnt affect it noticably as long as it isnt leaking. fill it with water and see if it leaks out anywhere...if it does then you have a problem.

the fins are fine.. if there's a hole in the core, you may have a problem

fins get bent and abused all the time... hit by rocks and ---- while driving.
