Put My Stock Deck In... Problem
I got my stock deck put back in at futureshop today. When it was done the guy said there was a problem. When I turn the sound up above 1/4 there's a bit of static and the sounds cuts out. Then theres a faint really high pitched sound that comes out of the speakers. And nothing will play untill you turn off the car for about a minute. He said there might be moisture in the deck or my infinities in the front may be to strong for the deck. I think both is BS. Even if i turn down the bass or fade to the stock speakers in the rear it does the same thing same spot. And moisture, it was in my trunk hooked up the whole time for functional reason (dont ask) and I dont think moisture would screw up a deck designed for a car. Wondering if anyone knows what it could be. Otherwise I'm gonna go back and ask the head hancho installer what he thinks it might be.

one of the wires inside might have been stripped more like the ground one which is black... otherwise the deck might be screwed up somewhere..... that happens to my friends panasonic deck and the RCA's are messed up but the stock ones don't come with rca's....so most likely its a wire thats been striped and its touching a metal part somewhere if not that, then its the deck itself....and i don't think it shud give u static if ur infiniti's are rated for a higher input, it just wont play as loud.

i'll ask my brother tomorrow. what year is your car? some hondas must have the factory head unit attached because there are components in there besides just the radio. i think it's either the ABS computer or the Airbag computer.... some GM's have the Door Chime intergrated into the radio. kinda stupid

exactly. I have a 2000 Cavalier Z24. I had my aftermarket headunit and I had to pay extra and extra for wirining harness to have the stock headunit hooked up in the trunk so the airbags and door chimes would work when i got the install done. the put everything back for free though. Now I have this problem with the deck. Was fine when i bought the car in summer.

okay so now you're going back to an aftermarket deck that FS will pay for and the installer will get reamed out and possibly lose his job or atleast get written up for because your stock head unit took a ------' beating in your trunk. why didn't you just keep the aftermarket deck you had in there in the first place? a GM/Delco/Monsoon Radio goes for 3-600 bux at the dealer but don't think you're getting anywhere near that for a radio at Future Shop. you'll be lucky to get a $150 deck. the stock radios may cost alot but they're still worthless
