PRM Jetstream Intake - Shortram
Now, what do you guys think of tis design. This is what is on my teg minus the silicone reducer. There is a K&N filter in the black canister. It seems to be a pretty good design, with the flare at the end helping air flow I think.
Discuss.

i remember way back in the day at the acura in markham meet....a guy from ti.net had this intake on his black gen2....when he would rev, you could put your hand at the end of the intake, and feel it suck a lot harder then any normal intake would...
so funny, i was just thinking about this intake a couple days ago, but couldn't come up with a name...

they are made in schlomberg ontario and origionally designed for the mx-3.com people because back in the day no one else made an intake for the cars, now they make for lots of cars. it amazingly won a design award back in the day too

If it's 3 inchs and has a velocity stack it's a good intake. ITR aem intakes are 3" and the reason why the mugen intake and comtech intake are a good buy is because of the velocity stack on the end of the tubing in the fender liner.
Do a search on velocity stacks on honda-tech to see what I mean. A velocity stack on the end of a tube allows the air to enter/flow better due to having a increase in speed as it enters. They've been on motorcycles for the longest time.
The only thing I'd do is remove the filter that you say is on the inside and buy one for the velocity stack on the outside.
Looks like this

Scott, I remember when that PRM intake came out when I had my EG. It was like $350 Canadian back then and it was amazing. I wish I had bought it, but I was a super noob then and didn't realize how effective it was. It's better than a CAI and with less risk. Keep it and use that bad boy. I wonder if the company is still around??

I was at the dyno when Paul tested one of those against no filter at all. Strangely it made more power with that thing than just an open tube. My guess is it had to do with the cooler air it collects - impressive none the less.

Miles it's the velocity stack, I swear. If I'm wrong I'll give you 5 bucks.

I've been using the PRM CAI for my gsR since i 1999. Never changed it for a reason. Yeah the company is still around. I got the bigger intake from the guy about 1 1/2 ago. He's located in schomberg ontario. He told me he hasn't been in the media for a while, but what I do remember this intake was tested on the dyno to be better than ice man and aem. Cops don't look at this twice because of the closed filer.

the prm intakes are supposed to be pretty good.. a friend of mine got one for his civic way back in 1999 and it's still going. he's got a cai version.
i've read a few reviews on HT and everybody "seems" to be pleased with it..
