Is there anthing i should be looking for in terms of making my power antenna work? i know i hooked up the power to the deck. fuse seems good, but no sound indication of it trying to gonig up. is it easy to change the whole antenna? and if so can someone guide me in how to do so?

I wish mine didn't go "up". It makes a horrible grinding noise.

I recall finding some info somewhere on the forums about the wiring to the antennae... I think the green cable is the feed for the motor which extends the antennae.

The only reason I recall that was because I wanted to "cut" mine, so it wouldn't grind anymore... maybe that's what happened to yours?

Changing the whole antenna assembly is easy, changing any of the parts of it is difficult.

The antenna mast, motor, and the whole assembly is one big unit. You can remove it easily, but the process to get at it is a little tricky.

-First, you have to take out all the screws, plugs, and bolts holding your drivers side interior panel to the car. You can either remove the whole thing if you know how to take out your rear seats, or just bend it enough to allow access without having to touch the seats. It is held in with clips - once you have the screws and bolts out just pry it away from the paneling and it will come out without issues.
-Next, before you attack anything inside what you just uncovered, loosen the nut holding the top of the mast, it is attaching the assembly to the bodywork. You'll see it on the outside on top of your quarter panel, it looks like just a chrome piece of accenting, but actually it's a nut. Loosen this off either with a pair of vice grips or any other way you manage. Careful though, it's easy to damage the protruding rubber/plastic.
-Once that's off, you'll want to take out the bolt holding the assembly to the chassis, it's a single 10mm. This 10mm bolt acts as a ground to the motor.
-With the assembly off the chassis, disconnect the drain hose and the antenna plug.

It's probably easier to just replace the whole assembly than try to fix it, although it depends what's wrong with it. Replacing it from then on is the reverse process.
