Default parking brake problem

about a week ago i went to pull my parking brake when i was on a hill and i heard a ting noise, i then noticed that my ebrake was very easy to pull, i took apart the center console and it appears the the driver side cable is very loose or it let go or something? so now only my right tire will lock up but it doesnt hold very well, any ideas or how i would go about fixing this?? thanks alot.

You need to replace your e-brake cables, as the left one let go (broke)

Yes it is, because you are going to wear down your back brakes a lot faster, and then you will need to be replacing them faster.

it also could be that you sensor in your handle isnt showing that the ebrake has been disengaged. doesnt neccessarily mean its still on. the brake light being on can also mean that your brake fluid is low, it will come on if that happens, or if there is something wrong with your resivoir cap. my wires for that are fucked so it thinks my fluid is low. i got a new cap from the junkyard and it fixed it fine. so check those too.

Yeh i totally had the same problem TODAY with the brake fluid issue and brake light.

i thought that my hand brake sensor for the light was just sezed and didnt think much of it
but today drivein to work (50km) i notice i had to press extra far to engage the brakes and got worried. check fuilds and it was super low.

came into work and google right away and yes hand brake light comes on also when low brake fuild! argh me!
