Default oil pump and ckf sensor

hey guys just wondering if the ckf sensor mounted on the obd2 engines must be swapped over on jdm engines for it to start? if its not swapped will the car just crank but not start? not too sure the whole purpose of the ckf so if anyone can enlighten me that would be great

I believe it's basically a crank position sensor for the ecu. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I believe the JDM engines that do not have the CKF sensor on the oil pump have it in the distributor. From what i understand you would need to use a JDM ecu with JDM dizzy to make it work.

I am assuming this is the same as the f20b swap im doing right now.
