Default non reclinable seat w/o roll bar

for those who know what they are talking about, what are your thoughts on non reclinable seats without a rollbar for the street using the factory 3 point seat belt. would you consider it a deathtrap? i don't think it would be a big as a deathtrap as using a harness, but is it still safe?

comments please.

If you want my opinion, if you're using a harness without any type of certified roll-over protection, you're asking for trouble, street or track. I don't know why you would need the use for a harness for the street, though - the stock seatbelt is fine, hence why they're in the car in the first place. This is regardless of the type of seat.

One problem is, if you get a non reclinable and you suffer an injury such that you can't get out on your own (ie. meds or others have to pull you out without risking injury to you) it becomes much more difficult. For example, I witnessed paramedics trying to get this guy out of his car last year after he suffered a potential neck injury. Due to the nature of the injury the meds were extra delicate when removing him from the car. The problem was the harness, seat, and roll-cage made it so difficult they had to resort to removing the windshield so they could get access to him and remove him. Took at least 30 minutes to get him out, if I recall correctly.
