Wait, so you know where it is, you see it, but you are not sure if you can replace it with car on the ground?
Why not just try different sockets if you can touch it, yes some parts are tucked quite well, but...why not just give it a shot? Or just jack the car up, put it on some stands and go under? If you don't have any stands, wouldn't recommend going under but I've done it many tims...keep in mind car was always on a sturdy hydraulic jack, not the oem trunk jack. Hell you couldn't pay me enough to go under the car with one of those holding a corner. If it seems like too much work, you can always go to a shop, it won't take long and smaller shops won't charge you much for such simple job. |
Just go for it...lol.
Or like martin said go to a small mechanic can't see that costing more then $50 to change if that. |
yea tried to feel it today.. cant do it without jacking it..unless i lose 20 lbs off my hands./...lol ill ask around

What if you try this drive 2 wheels onto the curb and slide under the car would that suffice?

true...ill check it out tomorrow...

Go to a mechanic and get an oil change. Ask if he can swap it out for you while there.... Doubt he will charge you $10 for it as car is on the hoist already.;)

If I remember they are like a 28mm socket you need to replace them, and you should be able to get to it from the top. They are right where the VTEC pressure switch is, and you can get to that from the top. Or you can jack the car up and take off the right front wheel and you will be able to see it through there.
I've changed them a few times, they are not hard to do. |
