Unhappy Need a new battery...I think...HELP

For about the past month, i've been having some problems starting my car. I have a compustar alarm/starter, and anytime the weather gets cold, it won't start my car. The car will power up and it'll turn over as if it's about to crank and then everything will just die. The car will start when I put the key in the ignition, but you can hear it struggling a tad bit to start.

Needless to say, this is pissing me off b/c it's getting colder outside and my auto starter is now deemed useless. I'm assuming it's my battery and not my alternator as the car does start up with the key.

I'm basically looking for a heavier duty battery that can handle the cold starts, as well as feed my audio system (just an amp and a 12" sub). I have my alarm connected straight to the battery obviously, and I'll also be having an HID kit connected through a harness as well.

Ideally, I'd like an Optima yellow top but those are just too expensive for me right now. I'm starting to think about going straight to crappy tire and buying one off the shelf. I've also seen some Energizer batteries at Wal-mart, but I haven't heard too much about those so I don't know what to go with.

Any help would be kindly appreciated!

I am a premier member. I have sent Nate a couple of messages, but he hasn't gotten back to me. I was hoping to get a new battery ASAP though...

Is your battery new at all?

When you start your car with the key does it ever click instead of crank?

Has your car ever died after it's been running?

Thanks bro...I think I saw his number posted in another thread, but I don't really feel too comfortable just calling someone up like that...
