my vtec stoppd working!!

Default my vtec stoppd working!!

hi, i have a type r in a eg civic. just last night the vtec stoppd engaging. i think im to blame for it, because i ripped it once when it wasnt warm yet. and it didnt go off. but since then, even when i do warm it up. it doesnt come back on. does anyone have any advice or any info on a situation like this?? could this be an expensive fix?? thanx.

vtec fluid might be low.


















check your wiring to your vtec solonoid.

maybe you got a fake r motor. you'll need to contact vtech and ask them for the new 5.8ghz modulator.

or perhaps flux capacitor

alot of things can be wrong. check the vtec solenoid wire, check oil levels, make sure you're not throwing any codes. unless you don't have cel light.
quickest way to test if the solenoid works at least is to put a power to it, you'll hear a click, if it doesn't click than you have a bad solenoid.

The problem is probably the vtec solonoid. This was acting up in my prelude, whenever I was in vtec for a period of time. Reset the ecu and it might work again.

b series engine have no fuel cut off depending on the temperature??
