Default muffer question!!!

I have been looking at mufflers and some of them say...offset right, offset left. What does offset right or offset left mean?
Does it mean the outlet is on the left for offset left and right for offset right? Or is it the opposite?

My stock muffler has its outlet little to the left, and i am looking for a muffler that would fit properly. The bumper has a cut at the top hence i am looking for something that will fit in like stock.

What should i be looking for? offset left or right?

Just get some muffler bearings, then you can use any offset.

You'll need offset bushings if you get an offset muffler. Do a google for offset bushings

but don't get the 22mm muffler bearings...cause i got them awhile back, and they were way too big for my exhaust...ended up cracking the welds on the manifold and the exhaust fully fell off the car when i hit a nasty bump in the road!
