Default msd parts

hey guys im lookin at throwing on a bunch of msd ---- for my 98 teg. it just has the b18b1 motor in it and i need to know if the stuff i am doing is overkill or if it will actually help out my car perform better...
the parts are:
msd coil (blaster pack) p/n 8207
msd ignition wirees p/n 35329
msd distributor cap p/n 82922
msd rotor p/n 8092
msd 6AL2 ignition box p/n 6201

those are the parts, does anyone even know if its worth buying the msd 6AL2ignition box? is it hard to hook one of those things up?

thanks guys

It will he out with the spark and everything, but you are not really going to notice it. MSD is designed to work on modded and higher HP engines, so with the engine being stock your more less just wasting your money on that stuff.

With a stock b18b I would just get a new oem dizzy/cap and NGK plugs and wires.
Like the mulisha man said, you will be wasting your moola.

I looked into this on my b18c, and after talking to many people hell not worth it man. Unless your running high numbers its not gonna make a big difference. I got quoted around $1000 for everything brand new, and that's a lot to pay for something that an oem dizzy can do pretty much. Put your money to another mod.

The stuff will work, but you not going to gain anything from it with the engine being stock, so your just wasting your $500

I will be doing a turbo set up in the spring. I think its best i buy all the parts now, even if its useless at the moment, to have it and not have to get it later.

I have all that stuff for a b18b. I don't know if it was in my head but to me it felt like it made a difference plus I called msd and they told me to gap my plugs to .50 or something like that. Right now I have the coil pack blaster pack and wires for sale I'll sell it for 250 had it for less than a year and I took it off my car when it was totaled the cap was cracked so I didn't keep it so all you would need is cap and rotor 50 bucks total I think pm if your interested

Look into the aem cop setup, much better than the msd stuff and you get to get rid of the distributor all together
