master cylinder for brake

so when i go to brake i have pressure but then the pedal goes straigh to the floor.
at first i was thinking my brakes just need to be bleed.
but even when the car is off the brake pedal has pressure for about 2-3 seconds then loses all of its pressure and goes straight to the floor.
now he said it might be my brake master cylinder.
anyone have prior experience with this?
any good places to pick up a new master cylinder for a cheap price

thanks
marlo

On a hot day and old brake fluid, pedal will sink a bit. Check the vacuum hose from intake manifold to brake master on the firewall for leaks.

Check for leaks first. If you have a blown line/no fluid it'll bottom the pedal out.

My buddy had the same problem on his 95. He replaced his brake master cylinder and put a Type R brake Booster just cuz he wanted to. Fixed the problem.

If your interested i have a brake master cylinder... you can have it for $20.... Its JDM used. PM me or

ive replaced my master cylinder my pedal slowly would press to the ground id have to pump it at times to stop abruptly and on a hill i had to pump it all the time (standard car would roll)

yea so it could be the master brake cylinder eh.
well im going to my buddies shop this week because i couldnt stop in time for a red light and had to go through it.

Master cylinder; make sure you put in good brake fluid too. So many people neglect the fluid. It does make a big difference, especially if you're a spirited driver/drive on the track.

Just curious I just changed my pads and need to Top off my fluid, I have no idea what is in there is it ok just to use any brand of DOT 3? Or is there anything I should check first?

DOT 3 or even DOT 4is what you need for tegs. But get DOT 3.
