Default Manual Transmission Fluid

Hey guys, just wanted to know what type of MTL or MTF to use on my GSR. I dont track it, just daily driver, so the fluid must be a year round type.

Some stuff I read up on:

GM synchromesh: Would this be good to use if I have no grinds? Is this good for year round?

Redline: Is this good for year round? Does it last as long as Honda MTL?

redline is the best Tranny Products in the world. We use Redline ShockProof Gear Oil in the tranny of our Skyline, smooth shifts.

Royal Purple, Mobil 1, Redline all make good synthetic tranny fluids.

Actually, sometimes when shifting from 1st to 2nd, I feel a little notch, and its just not quite as smooth. Its no grinding however.

I was thinking the same thing. I hear that Redline is a great product. How often do you need to change the tranny fluid? And how much do I need if I wanted to go buy some?

The reccommened interval is 24 months I believe. And 3 bottles would be enough.

Might try that GM stuff. I run Honda Manual tranny fluid and find it shifts much nicer than anything else I've run. 10W30 also works for a manual and I've run that as well. I usually change mine at the beginning of the season and forget about it till the following spring.
