Default Main Relay and Service Check Connector For 1993 Integra

I recently picked up a couple of Tegs 1993 and a 1990, both red. I am going to make one car from two and have it ready for my daughter when she turns 16 which is in another 4 yrs. Over the course of the winter the 1993 was in the garage (heated only when working inside). Changing carpet, damaged inside panels, doors, trunk lid etc.

Anyway, I went to start the car a couple of days ago and it started but there was smoke coming out from under the hood, My friend said the alternator is seized and to shut it off so I did.

I tried to get the alternator to turn and did so with a wrench and a socket. But now the car won't start. I see this is common amongst these cars.

I checked every fuse on the left drivers fuse box, and under the hood right side all is good. I took out all the plugs and there is no spark. Checked the coil reading 1 ohm across the two terminals. Not sure how to check the secondary part of the coil. I did here it is between the terminal and the spring. Is this true??? What should the ohms be I have read between 8 and 12.

Out of all the posts no one has mentioned where to find the 2P service connector or the main relay.

There is two relays underneath the dash/steering column and one on the passenger side near under the kicker panel, it says it is a daytime running light relay. From what I can gather the ECM is under the passenger carpet. I have located it but haven't taken off the cover yet.

There is also a small black relay in the left inside fuse block. and near that is a 6 by 8 inch metal enclosure about the size of a hard drive. Not sure what this is.

I would appreciate any help with this. I will also have parts available too. I live in Kingston but the cars are near Shannonville MP. I also have a 2008 Gixxer.........................sweeeeeeet..mid life crisis....LOL

Thanks

Wayne

I am working today until 9, hope everyone has fun at Shannonville.

Hopefully meet some of you there someday. I will probably be on my bike.

Cheers

Wayne if you are looking for the main fuel relay, it's a pain in the *** to get to and see. If you lie on the floor and look up at the relays under the steering column, there is one higher up than the others and it is BROWN, the connector is a bit of a pain to get off but it's right there. Just remember it's brown, the only box that colour there.

The service connector is under the glove box, there is a small panel down beside the speaker in the door, and there is a little kick panel cover there, just pull it off and you can see it easily.

Hope it helps ya out!

Default Thanks Very Much

I Thank you for that information. I do know the brown relay you are talking about. I will not be able to get to the car until Sunday evening, I will post how I make out.

Cheers
