LUCAS oil stabilizer
anyone have lucas in their engine or transmission?
if so any difference? |
i like to use that stuff as a engine assembly lube because it sticks to everything pretty good. thats all i use it for now.
i would not use that stuff in my tranny....EVER! thats just asking for trouble. as for using it in the engine......hmmm.....you will notice higher oil pressure and it wont thin out as fast.......but the oil seems to get dirty faster with that stuff in there.... so.......save your money and just buy a good engine oil and a good oil filter...... |
yea thanks man, look what i found , its kinda shocking

I heard a lot of dealers use this as a "quick fix" for the cars they have on their lot. I know people that have used it but noticed to difference. I don't know if it can do damange to your tranny. If it can, I'd like to know what sort of damage it can do.

As an experiment, they should have the correct amount added to a tranny, driven for a while, and immediately drain the tranny fluid to really see if it is foamed up like that. |
