Default Loud exhaust

On my way to work today my car became really loud and I had a bit of vibration under my feet. I got outthinking my exhaust had fallen off or something but I couldn't see anything. The air coming out my muffler didn't seem to be very strong. I'm thinking my exhaust has broken up by the header or something. Just looking for possiblities

Take the hockey card out of your spokes Pete.

Check all the flanges -- might have blown a gasket, and you have an exhaust leak.
Where do you hear the noise from?

What Juka said.

have someone rev the car - 3 - 4000 rpm should be enough and follow the sound. You should be able to narrow down the area it is coming from and sometimes you can see the escaping gasses.

you obviously won't see the gas unless the car is smoking badly, but you can sometimes see the distortion caused by the heat.

I've narrowed it down to under the radio. I don't see anything lose but I'm sure I will see a lose gasket when I take it in.
