hi guys right now i am trying to install a sony xplod deck in my 96 integra. i am doing great so far. the only problem is that i am having hard time figuring out what wire connects to what wire. the specs are:
the deck(or deck harrness that came with it) has

solid colored wires stand for positive (+) and stripped wire stands for negative(-).

white-white/blackstripped wire
gray-gray/blackstripped
green-green/black stripped stripped wire
purple-purple/blackstripped.
black earth(ground) wire.
there is 2 blue wires (one for power antenna and one for amp which i dont have right now). there is a red wire for power terminal in the accessory position of the ignition. and there is a yellow wire is +12v power terminal which is energized at all times.

the harness adapter that i bought has the following wires.

white/white/black stripped.
grey-gret/blackstripped
green-green/blackstripped
purple-purple/blackstripped

orange-orange/white stripped
red wire
yellow wire
blue wire
and blackwire.

please tell me which wires connect to which wires. p.s. i dont have a subwoofer either.

connect all the same color wires from cd player to your harness
it's all color match...

make sure you tape up the connections with electrical tape individually

YELLOW IS YOUR POWERSUPPLY
RED IS FOR ACCESSORIES
BLACK is GROUND

since you dont have any system, dont worry about the blue wire.

And dont forget to plug in your antenna cable aswell.

Purple, Green, White, Grey are your speaker wires. the same color with the black line is the ground for each.

so all you do match up all the colors.
hook up the harness to your car harness
hook up other end to the deck
and try it out before you assemble it all back together. best to test it before putting it back in place

check the fuse. i wouldn't be surprized if the deck is toast. it's called Xplod for a reason.

check the fuse. is the clock on the dash working? if not, check the one under the hood.

do you know if the deck even works? test it by twisting the yellow (12V+ constant) and red wires (12V+ switched) together and connecting them to the battery and ground the black wire to see if the deck even works. or if you have a 12V drill battery, that's even easier. make sure your the other wires on the harness aren't shorting out.

the blue is the power antenna lead, the blue with the white stripe is the remote turn on lead. on the deck and the harness adapter. these are eia standardized codes. if your factory harness connector is cut, you can find the color codes online.

tape them up too because there's 12V+ coming out of them.

thanks guys for ur kind replys. well i took my car to a friend's mechanic and he said one of the wires had to be mismatched. anyways he fixed it for free.

you're wasting your time solding deck wires.

soldering or crimping would be best and ideal, but you have to be realistic; your first time diy'er isn't going to go though all that trouble.

twist and tape works fine, it's a lot better than scotch tape and home wiring connectors....
