Default Light brown mily substance under oil cap

Went to top up my oil and found milky light brown coloured stuff under my oil cap. The area inside the cap was full of it.
I'm sure it's a result of my engine overheating a week before.

What does it mean? Coolant in the oil? blown headgasket?

Anything else i should check for?
Thanks

it sounds like coolant in the oil and it's a good chance there's a break in the gasket.

Would i not have the same stuff in my oil pan?

Talked to a reputable engine builder today he explained that during really cold weather and heat cycles condensation mixes with oil to make that...?

Anything else i shoud check before taking the head off?

You hit it on the head. Are you running a catch can of any sort?

Thought so, as the temperature gets colder, the condensation will become slightly worse.

If you change it over to closed loop it will solve your problem.

If you doing alot of short trip driving, and the engine never gets to operating temperature, you will get condensation in your oil. Is ur temperature reading normal? If its reading cold all the time, then I would suggest a flush and fill of your cooling system and replacement of the thermostat with an OEM factory unit, and replacement of the engine oil and filter. I would not be concerned about head gasket problem, as you would see a chocolate milkshake type formation on your dipstick, if coolant were mixing with the oil.
