Jackson Racing Supercharger

Jackson Racing Supercharger
Anyone have one or know someone who does? Planning on getting one for my RS. I like the idea of additional torque and mid-end power, plus according to the JS site, the b18b's drop off in power at about 5200 rpm, and with the supercharger it keeps going. Plus I can get one really cheap.. they're doing a clearout of these kits. I just need to know if I will require additional equipment. The kit says it comes with everything necessary, I've just heard of people running too rich with the kit.

what kind of fuel management comes with the kit, if any?
May consider Uberdata/Hondata EMS (stay away from FMUs if over 6-8 psi).
Larger injectors?
High flow fuel pump?
How many Kilometers on the motor?
Change your fuel filter while you're at it.
Sorry for the rambling.

Yeah, i've notice over on Jackson site that they are blowing these out pretty cheap. To me its well worth it. Gives the ride a bit more torque and good acceleration.
juka:
it comes with a basic 5:1 JR FMU.
I'd definitely recommend changing your fuel filter on installation and perhaps use 1 step colder plugs in the summer.

The car's got 110,000 km's on it, and I just did a complete tuneup, so it probably wouldn't need a fuel filter. The supercharger runs at 6 psi and it's a smaller displacement blower than the GSR/Type R units, so I'm not sure if I would need more fuel management or larger injectors.. I'll get it if it's necessary though, a supercharger isn't an install you can really cut corners on

yeah, for about 6 psi, whatever came in the setup should be fine. It would be nice to have a shortram intake, header 4-1, hiflow cat and exhaust.
-help the system breath better.
Dun expect the gains you would if you bought a turbo kit.
Just plan out everything before buying one part at a time.

So what type of teg do you have the kit on? And by tuning you mean adjusting the timing (I don't even know if it should be advanced or retarded for a blown application.. probably retarded slightly?) and a/f ratio?
