Default ITR tranny

I'm new to the game and i had a technical question. Would an ITR tranny fit onto a b18b engine? If it did, would i have a problem driving it around. Im looking for the longer gear ratio to help save money on gas. I do alot of highway driving (80km a day). Is it worth it?

You can spend less money and get a gsr tranny it is similar to the itr and would be good for the highway and yes you can use any b series tranny just make sure if you have a cable clutch get a cable tranny same for hydro.

an ITR tranny will A) cost a shitload and B) make your car rev really high compared to your stock tranny (supposing you have a LS tranny).
They are however really nice trannies that have a limited-slip differential, but you can pretty much guarantee its been beat on.

I have a type R tranny, and I will never use a GSR or LS transmission again!

I love the short gear ratio!!!! I dont get annoyed driving on the hwy either. Its really not that bad at all! IMO!

Even with my Turbo set up, with the car making 505whp. I still wont swap out my Type R transmission! The Response is INSANE!

+1. ITR trannys are sick, but this dudes talking bout longer gears and saving gas....my itr tranny sits a touch over 4 thousand at 120 km/h.......

not gonna save any gas that way..... if fuel consumption is the issue, stick with the ls tranny

When I switched from my GSR Trans to my ITR Trans, I only noticed a loss of about 35-40km per tank.

The difference in response was worth the trade off in fuel efficiency for me!

How would you save gas with a ITR trannY?

keep your b18b tranny on the b18b and you'll be saving as much as possible
unless you wan tto go B-H
(thats a joke)
