Default irregular car idling

I have a 92' DB2 and im curious if anyone else experiences this problem. 1st,when i start the car on most days it will idle around 2500, then calm down to about 1500-1000rpm/........ 2nd, ill park up and my car will idle jump consistently from 2000-1000 rpms(it does this sometimes and happens very rapidly) I know its irregular because my past DA never did this. What kind of problem can this be ?

did the jumping idle stop after you added coolent. Its not the first thing that comes to mind when you have an unstable idle. But coolent is fed to your iac for refernce on coolent temp to be able to set an idle along with the computer.

your IAC valve needs to be ajusted they come lose inside and back off try taking it a part and screwing the sleve back in and use a little teflon tape on the thread and I mean a little try turning it in about two and a half turns more than it comes out make sure you count how many turns you unscrew it when you take it apart and be careful colant runs threw it so do it when the engine is cold ;0)
