intercooler & paint question
so im getting my car repainted but over the winter im planning to turbo it. my buddy was telling me that a intercooler would not be able to properly fit in a 1990-91 bumper. can anyone confirm this?
plus i want to get it painted soon because their switching all the paint to water based due to enviromental issues and once that happens paint prices will go up!
im looking to get my car painted a nice dark blue. i know there is sickkkktegra but dont worry im not looking to get the rsx vivid blue pearl.
right now im looking at a supersonic blue pearl but i dont like the purple tinge is have so i was also thinking midnight blue. does anyone know a link to find all the color codes and what not.
for rims i was thinking a flat gunmetal pearl that my body guy was telling me or gold rims. any opinions are welcome
thanks marlo

It depends what intercooler it is. What are the dimensions?
When it comes to going turbo, there are always some components that will not be 'bolt-on'. That doesn't mean they can't work or won't fit.
Don't be afraid to modify the bumper and whatever else to make it fit. I'd say 90%, if not all, intercooler installations are custom in one way or another.

lol wow...
intercooler could be anything from 3ft wide by 3/4ft tall, or 4ft wide and 3ft tall..or even bigger. It will fit, just may need to trim the bumper a little.
Dont think you need something outrageous. a medium sized intercooler will be sufficient enough. Could even get a stock vw or saab or volvo intercooler that is side mounted and stuff it in the bumper. May not be so efficient as fmic but it will do the trick for a lot cheaper.

thanks guys.
ill probably just do some fabrication to make it fit. the only reason im asking is because i dont want to get the car paint to have to change the front bumper.
im hoping the colour scheme will be nice ill try and post some pics of my car later this week.
