Default integra rolls in park

hi guys im new here
i just got a 91 integra GS 4dr automatic transmission

i drove the car it drives and everything i came to park it on my driveway i put the car is park and it started to roll back since my driveway is at a bit of a tilt and i pull the emergency brake and its still rolling back and now i have stones under the tire to keep it from rolling back

does anyone know why this is??
what may the problem be?
how much do you think it'll cost?

Well for one your parking brake is not working, that's for sure, and as the shift could very well not be set right and it's not really placing the transmission into park when you put the gear shifter into park.

hey thanks for the reply that was quick lol

i think you may be right because to get my car to reverse it doesnt reverse when i put it on 'R'... I have to put it right between Park and Reverse, like right in the middle of both for it to reverse

whats up with that?

The shifter needs to be adjusted to fix that. It's not to hard to do, but you should also get your parking brake looked at.

rear calipers probably seized. rebuilt calipers probably gonna cost you like 150 each plus youll probably need rotors ands pads aswell

in total if you do it yourself it would probably cost you pretty close to 500 bux with 500 bux you can just get another da that dosnt come with all those problems

junk the car to the scrap yard for 100 bux and youll have yourself another car for 400 bux.. yeeha!

sorry i think im out of line

Has it done this before.

Maybe a clog in the break lines. Press your breaks on a dry platform and see if anything leaks onto the ground.

it might be the shifter cable the same thing happened to me . shifter cable broke on me right when i got to the bank and the car would go into drive easy but resverse and park it use to roll back .
check and see if your shifter cable.

as for the parking break might need adjusting.

umm no a "clog" in the brake lines is not logical and has nothing to do with this. the hand brake is controlled by a cable not hydrolics

if the hand lever can go all the way up (like 10 clicks) then you might get away with tightening the cable but its most likely seized very common problem on our cars
