Default Which Infinity speakers to get?

OK I'm looking to upgrade the stock speakers in my 98 GSR and narrowed it down to either Infinity Kappa 62.5i or Infinity Reference 6012i. Do you think I should try and upgrade to a set of components or go with one of these 2 coaxial setups?

What I'm looking for is a nice sounding and loud setup with using the stock speaker locations. Thanks for any input.

I have coaxial in my car sounds awesome. My friend has compenents up front I dont notice a difference. I got the 6002i speakers for sale in the sale section. they are the same as the 6012i but the "older" version. might be a small dif dont know. But not too old they just made the change. Infinity makes excellent speakers. I only used mine in an RSX for 3 1/2 months selling pretty cheap check the sale secion if youre interested.

Ok I went and got the Infinity Kappa 62.5i speakers (4 of them). From doing some reading I read that these will sound best with an amp and what I plan on doing. Just looking for some input on what amp you guys recommend. I know it will have to be a 4 channel amp but I'm hoping that I won't have to spend too much on an amp. Also do you think using the stock deck will sacrifice audio quality even with an amp?

i have an infinty amp too for my sub. runs the 10 really good. not sure if infinty makes a 4 ch. i dont run an amp wiht my mid range they sound good. you should try with out first and c how u like it. i know for a sub u need to get an aftermarket deck to run the sub through it. if possible to use the stock deck im not sure if the deck will make a sound difference but i know it will if ur running the speakers on the stock wiring. sorry but i only know the basics of audio

Alright I got all 4 speakers installed in my car the other day using the stock wiring and deck. The difference between these and the stock speakers is not and day. However one thing I noticed and read up on as well is the lack of bass without running them on an amp. Sound is much more crisp and clean over stock but I know there is a lot more potential from these speakers.

So now I'm looking for a 4 channel amp to see how much better they can sound. Will try to keep this updated.
