Default Idle issues

So my alternator went on me and I had it replaced and now my my car has a high idle 2500rpm and the it revs up and down from 1500-2500 it comes and goes. I've taken off the IACV and cleaned it and reset my ecu still no change. Any suggestions? Maybe replace the IACV?

Did you pull the intake manifold off to get the alternator out?

I would try another tb and gasket. Double check the hoses off the i/m. Fpr hose, pcv hose, booster hose and booster.

If your booster leaks. It will give you idle issues. Pinch the hose and run it. See if that heps

So I again checked all the lines but still nothing my neighbour suggests I smoke test it to make sure. But today it only reved up on the the start but then ran smooth until night fall. I'm guessing it got cooler and it will that's when I have issues.

Also my neighbour suggests I just replace the IACV and if that doesn't work try a new throttle body.

So I finally got it all done just forgot to post. The problem was my fast air. When I took of the tb and opened the fast air it just fell out. So I cleaned the entire tb, tightened the fast air back into place, replaced the gasket and popped everything back in. I started her up and now she purrs better than ever before. She used to idle at 1500rpm now she steady at 900. I think I can pass emissions now lol
