hi i got a 90 integra with a b16 swap in it. And yesterday my car started to idle all funny, it would idle up and down but only when the car is nice and worm. So i went and look under the hood and checked my vacume hoses they all seem fine, then i checked the vacume map sensor its mounted on the fire wall and shook that up a bit and it ideled fine for a bit. So i replaced that cuz i have another integra it, it seemed fine untill the car wormed up then it started again.

I had this same problem with my civic but the head gasket was blown on the civic, and i know a couple other cars that had the same problem as well with no blown head gasket, it turns out to be the termostat.

In my integra i replaced the termostat so i dont think its that, unless the termostat is junk (defective). If anyone knows what could be wrong let me know tnx.

p.s. my temprature is fine the car doesnt over heat or anything..

What does it idle at?

 

check your idle air control valve...
do a search on g2ic
