Edit: do you have Spark???
if not I would bet big $ on the following
if you do have spark...nevermind!
it is common for the ICM to go suddenly
it is not hard to do but a bit of a PiTA to get to. not reccomended for a first DIY but if you have experience it is not too bad
hope this helps

A motor only needs air/fuel/spark to work, so clearly your not getting fuel/spark.
find which one your not getting and then we can help.
For all we no your ignitor/coil could have just gone. Or you ran stupid rich and plugged your cat.

as mayo stated you can't be getting fuel and spark. Your car would be running.
What exactly did you or this person check over?
Things to check again are:
Fuel Pump
Distributor more specifically the Ignition Control Module or Coil
Lastly and very unlikely the Main Fuel Relay
I put my money on the fuel pump.

to verify spark, you can take off one plug wire and place it next to a ground (on the chasis) and crank a couple of times. the spark should be visable.
Don't hold plug wire
that is even cheaper the the $20 fuel pressure gauge

i had the problem last year. i checked the fuel by loosening one of the bolts on the fuel filter and turning on the car if fuel sprayed it shows that it worked. i had spark too i pulled a plug out and put it in the wire and grounded it my strut tower bar and was getting spark but it wasn't a white spark it was orange. so all in all it ended up being my distributor cap. don't rule it out
