Default GSR gas mileage

Hey guys now that I've had my 98 GSR for a couple months now I am just curious how many km you guys get to the tank. I have been keeping track of it the last few time I filled up the tank and I get about 350km per tank. This is about 50/50 highway/city driving and of course hitting vtec here and there.

Looking for what numbers you guys are making (LS, GS, GSR and even Type R).

530 KM per tank, I take it all the way. Not everyone has the ***** to do that.

When I fill up, I fill 47 liters!

Oh damn...I gotta let my needle fall off to put that much gas in. When I fill up I'm putting in about 35 litres.

My 01 GS-R used to go around 450-475 kms before the idiot light stayed on. Usually, you have about 10L left when it stays on, at least, that's what I found.

How many litres of gas would you be putting in to go that many km?

If you want to be more precise use the fill you car up. drive 100 kms and fill up again. there for it will show you how many litres per 100km L/100KM so you know how much your average use and can tell if you are getting better or worse mileage. In most cases, it's mantainence. i.e. oic change, fuel filter, spark plugs, properly inflated tires. etc etc. Keep your car in good running order with proper maintainence and Gas mileage will be farthest thing on your mind... unless gas goes up to $1.50/litre by the end of this weekend.

It may also be as described in this thread - a 'lead' foot will cost you more so driving habits are usually the #1 when gas mileage is concerned. also city vs highway driving; aerodynamics (open windows & sunroof) and use of Air conditioning.

Manual usually gets more MPG or L/100KM.

again any of the other factors plays a role in gas consumption there fore affecting actual mileage.

google it.... http://www.itrsport.com/specifications.html

Fuel Economy

EPA Estimated Mileage, City/Highway

RS, LS 5-speed: 25/31 GS-R 5-speed: 25/31 Type R 5-speed: 25/30
Recommended Fuel

Regular unleaded 87 (R+M/2) Premium unleaded 91 (R+M/2) Premium unleaded 91 (R+M/2)

*Use for comparison purposes only. California figures are the same. Your mileage may vary. Gasoline with an octane number lower than 91 may be used, with reduced performance.

I have a 2001 GS-R and do about 60% highway 40% city driving. I take it to about 460-480km before filling up. I put in usually 37-39L of Ultra 94 per fill up.

Why the hell does the gas light come on so early? Like at 375Km....And how many L is the gas tank?

OK I'm definitely going to have to let the light come on and be on for a while before I can actually put in close to 50 litres. I'm going to really push it this time before I fill up and see how many km I can go.

pussies and their small motors crying about gas..... =)

i do a whopping 400 kms / 65L tank of gas......
mind you i do have a 3.3L V6 Quad Cam from toyota... and it's RWD...
and i do weigh like 3000 lbs... =*(

the integra... gets 400 kms/30L ( i never run to the light... i don't think i ever have driven until the light comes on... )

my sister on the other hand... drains the gas tanks.. and then add 5 bucks...... *sigh*

It's a 50 liter tank, you still have 10 liters. Oh and 02 sensor makes a huge difference.

Unless you're on the highway all the time, I find it hard pressed that a GSR would be doing any better than 500 combined, unless you have an LS tranny (taller gearing).
Just doing 115 my motors spinning over 4K.

400-450 are my averages. I once drained a whole tank on the highway, i got 550, thats the only time thats happened.

wow our tanks hold 50 litres... i always thought it was only 40... makes me feel better when the one time the light came on and i drove home and filled up 40 litres and thought i was cutting it and had barely any gas in it...

i usually get about 480 when my light hits and i thought i could only get like another 30 kms out of it... but i guess as you say i still have another 10 L of gas.... mind you its a auto SE... so different comparison than a GSR...

9000 RPM, eh? You must have a stOOk motor in that R of yours, right? Or are you completely missing your downshift points?

92 gsr with lots of mods -> 35L 94 octane 290kms per tank. Usually fill up just before the light comes on. Dont think running your car when the tanks empty is good for the car.

The most Ive ever done in mine is 360-370 a Tank. But thats mostly city driving with a few highway runs here and there. I fill up using Sunoco 94 and fill up about 35L per fillup.

Oh yeah, mine is a 99GSR.

How do you know its time to change the fuel filter? I dont know if mine's been ever changed.
