grinding in third

Default grinding in third

question for all the teg owners .so im driving doesn't matter what speed gearing up or gearing down but as soon as i put it in third it grinds not hard but soft and grinds for like 2 seconds what could i do


should i just put syncromesh or.....................

synchro's are gone man, synchromesh isn't gonna work.

Mine does the same thing. If I shift over a 2500rpm it grinds. If I ----- drive it its ok.. But it keeps getting worse and worse. 3rd gear is famous for this. Buddy of mine has the same thing in a jbody.
Replace your tranny. Thats what I'm going to end up doing

at this point, Synchromesh would not be that useful for that transmission.

You can either get another transmission as suggested, or you can have the transmission rebuilt!

There are several places to take your transmission to to have it rebuilt, including affiliates on TI. Shouldnt cost too much, when I did my type R LSD transmission I had my 1st, 2nd and 3 gear synchro's changed in favour of the carbon coated synchro set from www.gearspeedinc.com

And I was able to have them installed in my transmission w/ new bearings for a service charge of $200 from a very well known Honda performance shop.

you might also want to check the tranny oil level if you haven't already done so. Sometimes the B-series trannies will grind and slip if your tranny oil level is too low

check on team-integra.net. theres a way to fix grinding problem. i had grind on my third and fourth . but after i did the the repairing from the thread all grinds GONE!!!!!!! even wen i shift at 8500rpm consdently

turn leave the ca running push the shifter to the grinding gear (3rd for u) with out stepping the clutch and rev to 3000 rpm now keep pushing the shifter like y r trying to go in gear,but not thta hard . keep pushung n reving around 6-7000rpm u should push right into gear.do this few time should fix problem. it did for me n alot other people. let me know the result

wow u need to type a little slower . and if i push it into gear my car will stall cuz my foot is not on the clucth dont worry fond the link and posted it in the general discussion and the diy forum

i said like if u wr trying to put in gear!!!!! as u rev harder it will go in gear. wont stall!!!! your welcome
