Front Grille Performance Efficiency Question

Front Grille Performance Efficiency Question
Simple (probably stupid) question I just had to ask:
Is there any drop in performance/overall efficiency of the car if part of the front grille is blocked by the license plate or other items such as snow, fog light, etc?
Just curious as I'm thinking of jumping on the bandwagon and relocating my front license plate a bit lower like how Bryan had his, thanks to a messed up nut in the current license plate hole in the bumper. By relocating to the new position, I would block out more of the front grille with the license plate.
