Default EVAP solenoid cel

so i've had a cel code 92 since ive swapped the jdm b20 in. it seems that the intake manifold that came with the b20 doesnt have an EVAP solenoid or a place to put it. does anyone know what the solution would be? do i need a new intake manifold or do i have to get it drilled and tapped so that i can put in my EVAP solenoid?

Ervap is not necessary for your engine. You can ignore it and drive around without. You can use ls manifold and get rid of the cel, but its not needed.

Is it possible to plug in the solenoid and just not hook it up? Would that get rid of the CEL?

Just throwing ideas out there... Never had to mess with an evap solenoid before...

I have heard people changing there manifold back to the b18b...but as Martin stated it's not necessary.

And Mike I don't think if you just hook it up it would work without it actually being on the manifold.

Ya so therefore there are three possible options:
1. But back your old B18b manifold (assuming that's your old one)
2. Just ignore the check engine light
3. Take it to a mechanic that can remove the code from the ECU if it bugs you

I know it wouldn't do anything just plugged in , but I wasn't sure if the CEL is because the ecu is looking for that device and doesn't see it. In that case if you plugged it in and it see's the device, no more CEL. But if the ecu is looking for the device and feed-back from it's function, then yeah the CEL would stay on...
