Buy the Clarion VX409.
It's a great unit, especially if you don't want to pay out big for GPS and Bluetooth.
If you don't want to pay for the extra accessories, you don't have to, which makes it pretty affordable.
I have the same Deck, with the Bluetooth and Sirius adapters and I couldn't be more satisfied.
The screen is nice and big, it plays many formats and I even got the bypass installed so I can have movies playing while I drive.
The best part about the deck is the fact that I can use an "MP3 Data DVD".
You basically can burn 4.7GB of music onto one disc, organize it any way you want and the deck plays it no problem.
Anyways, that's just my opinion, as again, I have the unit and love it.

ok... well the unit is coming in about a week so i'll post up picks. the alpine cost me 337 bucks including shipping, ipod control connectors and everything needed to install. and i'm a big fan of having ipod control built in. no disks and a minimum of 8 gigs off music at your finger tips. if you don't have an ipod (for some reason) then it supports virtually anything via usb connector and that fact that it plays every format under the sun.....
it won't let you play movies though....... though i don't see the point as i have a 50" at home and i'm usually looking at the road when i drive lol.

As for the DVD's, it helps if you buy the Mixtape DVD's, or download music videos and burn them to disc. It's also good for long drives if you have someone in the passenger seat. Not to mention the nice lighting effect on the interior.
ok. so i bought the alpine, installed it and everything (was a royal pain, involving a dremel and exacto blade) and its absoloutely fubarred. half the options that it was supposed to come with either don't work, or are non-existant (yes i am aware that things like navigation, sound tuner and sirius are extra modules) i plug in my ipod and play one or two songs before it freezes and will only un-freeze by turning the car off. there is no way to set the clock..... amid a miriad of ather issues.
i would STRONGLY NOT recommend the alpine ixa-w404. piece of ----.
(though it does look fancy, its about as useful as a blond bimbo in calculus class)
