when I unlock my car with my alarm it opens fine, when I drive for a bit and this only hapens like once every 3rd time or something, the dam thing won't unlock and I can't get out of the drivers side. Either I have to get out of the passenger side or roll down the window and fiddle with the door handle (outside and inside) plus the unlock switch for a good minute until I can get out. What's causing this?

or how do I keep the car from locking itself when I start driving? that would keep me from getting locked in at least.

 

turn on valet mode....there should be a little switch to flick somehwere.

 

keep on valet mode? wouldn't that turn off some other features as well?

is there a way to permanentely turn off the autolocking feature when teh car drives? like taking out a wire or sumtin?

 

okay this is not fixed yet, even with the ignition lock off.... the car when I lock and go do my business and come back to unlock it won't unlock (Sometimes-1 in 3 times probably) and I woul dhav eto lock and unlock and push the door lock and unlock until it would unlock finally after 20 tries. This is really annoying, anyone have any idea of whats causing it?

 

there should be a way to change settings on your alarm.. some have you turn ignition to acc, hit a button a certain number of times, and turn off and such to set different things.

check manuals for your alarm to find programming instructions

 

i dunno how.. but my dad did somehow disable the autolock...

 

if you know your alarm make and model find the manual and figure out how to program it. see if there is a feature to disable the autolock feature.

if you can't figure it out it's time to bring it to a shop who specializes in alarms.
