Default Deck help!!!

hey ive been trying to install my deck for the past 2 days. i just got the car it came with the deck but not installed. it came without a harness. i tried wiring wire by wire and the deck does not turn on. Then i went to a scrap yard and wired the harness on and still no luck the deck does not turn on!!!!!! My final conclusion is that i believe i might be missing a fuse, does anyone know what i can do or which fuse needs to be replaced??????

just hook up the yellow wire to the positive terminal on your battery and the black to ground terminal.. Look at it and see if there's any flashes or anything, if it turns on or if the motor on the inside makes noise.. If NOTHING happens, pull out the fuse from the back where the wires plug into the deck and see if it needs to be changed. If it doesn't need to be changed, then... It's time to grab a new deck..

any deck when you first power it up you have to press the source button also known as power. alot of decks when when you just hook up the power ground and memory it wont turn on until it has been turn on manually. then everytime after that when you turn your key on it will turn on by it self.

basically do exactly what XSI said. pop your hood and try to get some power straight from the battery.

but make sure when your holding them on the terminals you press the source button(power button).

can also check the fuse on the back of the deck to make sure its not blown. and usually when you would wire in a deck or anything you would use a light tester no? did you not check for power or did you just hook it up?
also does your interior light and cigarette lighter work? usually the radio, interior light and cigarette lighter all run off one fuse. so if there fine you deck is ok if you hooked it up right. if there not working then the fuse needs replacing.

Just check all your fuses one by one, and replace the one's that are blown. The radio should have it's own fuse. The last thing you can do is just rewire all the speakers, and power.

if you pull the fuse cover and flip it over it should show you the correct one for the radio and lighter. if you do not have that then the best thing is to get a little flash light and get under to the fuse box and shine it and look to see if you can see the blown fuse. usually you can see it with out removing them one by one but if thats what you gotta do then thats what you gotta do.

try the cover first then the flash light.

hope that helps some.

no you wont have to rewire all the speakers just the power and a remote wire all other will be the same.

its a 15 that you need to replace. I blew the same fuse a few days ago. it should be on the left side for the most part. Just look at the fuse layout diagram and it'll tell you which one. Plus, you might even have some replacement fuses in the fuse box or whatever.
