Default Dc header...flex pipe?

Hey guys, i picked up a used DC 4-1 header for my 95 ls, and i noticed that it has a flexpipe attached to it, but i am unsure if it comes thiss way from dc or if it was put on afterwords. I am curious because the header was origianlly on an LS but was then put on a GSR, although he had his midpipe adjusted to fit the header and he said that the flexpipe was already on the header, i just havent had a chance to look under the car yet to see if its going to line up, so im curious if DC headers come with the flexpipe from the factory

IF GSRS have a longer exhuast, wouldnt that cause for the header to be too big meaning the midpipe would need to be shortned, not add a flexpipe? Because from what he said thats what he did(shorten his midpipe) but now im confused if he shortened his midpipe to accomidate it being too long, why is a flexpipe there

those questions you'd have to ask him. The only reason I see for having a flex pipe there is so that as a extra precaution, there's less chance of the header bolts breaking when hooked up to the cat
