My integra doesn't lock with the key, I'm gonna take a guess that it's probably because the previous owner didn't give me the master key. do I gotta go to the dealer to get one? I checked on keylessride.com for a remote for the teg, it shows 2 remotes that i can order will they work, has anybody tried? I do see evidence of an alarm, but I don't know if it's aftermarket.

To get a key cut to your car you just need the vin number of your car and hope that the locks haven't been changed in it.

That's not very safe. I don't think they came with remotes. But I would def go to a dealer and ge some keys for those locks for your safety (you got a teg) lol. Key from dealer would say...$40 at most?

 

I would imagine whatever it costs is worth it in this case...

 

I got one cut for my integra last summer, and it cost me $20. give or take a few dollars.
Turned out those keys didnt even open the doors or trunk.

 

can you open the trunk with the key?

the locks have either been changed or they're siezed. does it have power locks? if not, were they put in as part of a keyless entry alarm system? you'll have to pull of the door panel. to check.

 

I have never tried to open the trunk with the key,lol. I'll try tonight. the car does have power locks. I'll also check under the dash to see if there is a alarm module.
