craking /wining noise

hey guys just from last night to today my dc2 teg has been making a noise very similar to one when a scritching door opens when i turn and its only coming from my passenger side wheel area anyone kno what it could be i think? its gotten louder from yesterday.....

Buff4Prez Yo 12-06-2007 03:51 AM

sounds like a siezed ball joint. i get it looked at very soon. siezed ball joints will snap and will more than likely rip apart your axle and damage the fender among other things.
been through it once before.

RedTeg 12-06-2007 07:55 AM

^^^DITTO.

A lower ball joint isn't that expensive, but if it breaks...you @$^$#@

smith_customs 12-06-2007 08:21 AM

24 dollars for one at cdn tire, 22 dollars national exhaust or 26 dollars from napa

Buff4Prez Yo 12-06-2007 03:05 PM

Don't buy the cheap ones. i've bought white box ones before and they squeaked.

does it squeak only when you in over a bump? if not, it might not be the ball joints but i'd look into the brakes or the wheel bearings as a possible cause

Solid GSR YO 12-06-2007 09:33 PM

also strut mount, check that cause they like to squeak

oths88 12-08-2007 04:33 PM

no it squeaks about 90% of the timew that i turn my steering wheel and makes a little bit of noise when i drive and go over a small bump and such and no my rims and have winter tires on them long story ill post about that

Dave YO 12-09-2007 10:34 PM

check power steering fluid

oths88 12-10-2007 08:42 AM

yea that was the problem it was low although it was something i suspected earlier on but since the noise only came from one wheel i just kind of ruled it out thanx guys
