Car Revving Too High

Default Car Revving Too High

im doing 120 on the highway and the car revving at 4500rpm in 5th:S:S

approx. 3500 @ 100k

what could it be?

i know i need an oil change...:S

well assuming your tranny didnt swap itself out for a GSR tranny in the middle of the night, i dont know what else it could be other than your clutch slipping.

hey i have a gsr and its like that for me two its just the tranny

im doing 5000 in 5th doing 130km/h jdm j1 tranny. so i duno wtf is happening maybe the tooth fairy brought u a new tranny LOL

LOL that sounds about right for what im getting, i do have a GSR...ive been driving a 1.6for the longest time, and since i just sold it, i got this car on the road:S..maybe thats why im used to lower revs...

I also think one of my rear calipers is seazed... maybe its sticking?... anyone experience this problem?

^ let me get this straight. You drive a car with an engine that has a closer gear ratio and your asking why you rev soo high?

take them off and check the sliders.

i only get to drive the car for a few months a year... ive been driving a delsol and 1.6 otherwise... and maybe its just me, but i do feel like im revving a little higher than usual... n thanks for taking ur time to google a pic n put it up for me!

Find a gear ratio calculator online and just do the math. All you need is your 5th gear ratio, final drive, and tire diameter.

when i drive normaly i still shift @ 4000 b16 is rev happy theresw just not powerunder 3000

if it was only 3000, that wouldnt be so bad, dont you mean under 6000rpm

im not talking mash the gas power like under3000 if u dont let the clutch out really slow it boggles. like starting in 2nd sort of thing. and i haev vtec @ 4800-4900.... so yeah we dont have any power under5 really
