Car getting inspected
What does the inspector look for when inspecting my car before getting insurance.
I have rust around my windshiend(didnt wana fix cuz its too hard) and a crack in it aswell. The crack is near the vin number and isnt bad.
the car is stock. and will be stock until after the inspection.

I bought the car a few months ago. No damage to the car.
Even though im getting a b18b1 in the car, when the previous owner did a emissions test in april, it scored
HC PPM-47 limit is 66
CO% 0.22 limit is 0.37
NO PPM 548 limit is 757
to get it saftyd i need
right front strut and spring(im gettin skunk2 pros anyways, ill just raise thew hell outta them for the inspection)
Left lower control arm
left bushing
outer tie rod end
left upper balljoint(im getting skunk2 camber kit newayz)
tail pipe
left and right rear flex hoses(what are those???)
right front marker light
left rear brake light
rear brake pads and roters
fml lmao

no the inspector like someone stated will check for visable mods, stereo, lowered, rims, etc... and to note any damage so you won't claim it in a following accident etc. I once had a screwed up bumper and they told me to get it fixed within a certain period or they wouldn't cover or something I forget but they were making a big deal of it...

so should i switch back to stock radio, take off my cpillar and my lip.
Im forced to go to the inspection with aftermarket adjustable coilovers because most of my struts and springs are ----. Unless I can get insurance before I can get safety...

coilovers should be fine...just make sure it looks stock height and nothing like too low or too high, some of the people are really good at spotting mods like that, some are kinda new to the scene and only know basics...
NORMALLY...most companies will cover like $1000 unclaimed (like a stereo)... like as long as its not over $1000 or whatever the won't consider it modded or whatever, just depends on the company... so anything extra that they might be like "whats that for" or "why does it look like that" kinda thing, ya i'd remove/change.. even if you don't hook up the stock stereo and just throw it in for the inspection lol

Martin, are you on your own insurance. Im online getting insurance quotes, and there is no option for a 1990 integra. only 1994 and up.
Then when i choose the option "classic auto insurance", it sais no insurance companys insure people that are 25 and under with a classic car.

Most insurance company's now a days do it, but it also depends on the car. My dad's 5.0L had to a appraisal done before they would insure it, but my 99 integra never did, but I Have also been with him for 7 years now, and he knows I will tell him when stuff gets done to me car.

bump.
what if your windshield is cracked. Its in a circle near my VIN number. about the size of a golf ball.
Will it affect me safety test and inspection

Really who cars if you need your car inspected, I rather have mine done and pay that little more each month to know I'm fully covered incase anything happens. Plus if you all are so worried about them finding stuff done to your car, don't mod it, and leave the damn thing stock.
