Cams, Header and Intake Arm
I'm new at this, so hopefully you don't find my questions stupid. But for non vtec, automatic integras, would changing the cams, header and intake arm make much difference in terms of power? I've been wanting to change the intake arm and air filter as well as header, not sure about cams. Plz help. thanks

Swapping out the intake and doing a header would increase throttle response more so than making that much actual dyno power. Don't get me wrong, you will make more power but not 15-20whp gains like some people claim. Cams make good power but you need to dyno tune to get the most out of your setup. If you go with a super aggressive cams on a non-vtec motor, you might effect your idle. You would also need to upgrade your valves and retainers to take the longer lift and duration. Keep in mind, titanium retainers are a wear item so they NEED to be changed every 10K.
I'd say your money is far better spent on a B20 swap. Cost is around 1000-1200 for a low mileage high compression JDM unit. Bolts onto your existing tranny and you should be able to plug in a CRV ecu no problem. Or run a B20 chip in it. If the compression on your old motor is still good you should be able to get 500 for it leaving the cost of the motor to 500 to 700. That's less than a good intake/header/cam setup and you'll get 200 extra cc. Plus, a real hp gain and torque higher than an ITR. Labour for the swap shouldn't be more than 4 hours from an reputable shop. Plus, all LS upgrades (cams, etc) also work on a B20. So you'll have options if you want even more power later. Something to think about.

If you don't subject your car to road racing or track use you can get away with longer intervals before swapping in new titanium retainers. Swapping them in and forgetting about them is a good way to break a motor. There's a guy on in HADA that learned the hard way. A turbo guy I know Jeremy, also forgot about swapping out his, but thankfully his mechanic had the valve cover off and noticed they had worn near paper thin.
