cam gears, for timing
Well i'm taking the head off to be machined, and quickly checking timing and lining everything up (on advice of my mechanic friend who was there helping me).... The "up" and "up" arrows were pointed up, and as some of you may know there are supposed to be marks that point at eachother in the middle, but mine seem to be off 1 tooth? even tho both tops are pointed up, i'm assuming this isn't a problem and just a mistake of the manufacturers?
There's plenty to do outside my room but I choose not to!

On the DOHC you will see to little holes on the top of the cam bolt down plate thats just above the cams, you but 2 small drill bit (that's what I use) and it keeps the cam from moving on you, so you don't need to worry about the marks, as with the cams locked into place, nothing can move. Here's a picture looking from the front of the engine. I have done these before. I can get a picture of where the pins go throw in the morning, as a have a full head taken apart here at my place. I have no problem helping you out, I work for cheap, lol.
lol well its up at a shop thats like 45 mins from me... and my friends don't really want other ppl up there... but the one mechanic, didn't know if the markings being 1 tooth out from eachother would be a problem, as long as "up" and "up" were both pointing up, they were already marked with whiteout tho. so we lined it up and the 2 white out marks that were done before, line up fine, just like I side on the inside 2 (as you can see in the pic you put up) don't line up on mine...
