why will it ---- up my a/c system? I know a few people who have used it and they say it worked fine.

Where would be the best place to take my car for that sort of thing?

Any licensed shop should be able to recharge your system, or better yet find out why it needs to be recharged, as they are a sealed unit.

i haven't actually had a chance to diagnose it yet, but i imagine the fact that its 14 years old could be a big factor.
i'm going to look around and see what the costs are...

Duracool is an accident waiting to happen especially if you have any AC leaks.
