Are you buying from a private seller or a JDM distributor? If you are buying from a JDM distributor. The motors usually are around 45000 km.

From what I remember, the Japanese laws states that you have to change your car every 45000km or something. If you don't you have to pay like an outrageous premium to keep your "old" car. So people just trash them and get new cars. Don't quote me on why the motors are around the same km's, but that's what I remember.

So, if you are sketchy about buying a used motor just buy from the reputable source.

Well.... you can go to a lot. There's Toronto JDM they are one of the sponsors on here. There is Tiger Japanese. They are the biggest and most known in the Toronto area in my opinion. Just ask for a compression test results, and a if you can while you are there a leak down test.
