Default Brake Pads W/ No Shims

just finish brake job on fronts and i was wondering if its ok to have brakes without shims . pads i bought didnt come with them and old ones are done, maybe you can buy shim seperate?

you can buy them seperate, but I wouldn't bother. I've been running with no shims for about 8 months...they squeal every now and again, for the first 3 months.

no shims is fine... one side of my rear brakes i didn't put shims and it seems to be ok.. but maybe that's why i'm hearing sqeeking every now and then :S

I know the PBR/Axxis Metal Master pads say they have integrated shims on their pads.

if u have ur stock shims, keep them on it'll cut back on brake squel. Any time of noise squeak on my car pisses me off, its all preference.
