Bosch or Valeo H.I.D. Projectors?
Whats up everyone. This is for all of the people out there that has done a HID retrofit on their cars. I was looking at HID planet and they have kits that are pretty resonable. I wanted to know what is easier and better to install the Bosch projectors (E46 & Audi TT) or the Valeo projectors (Audi A4). Both kits come with Hella G3 Ballasts, D2S Bulbs (don't know k's or make) and all wiring and connectors. What would be a good kalvin for this? 4300K, or more? Thanks for all your help.

all OEM HIDs bulbs are 4100k-4300k, that is the perfect light output and color.
The ones i have are valeo S4(A4) projectors, they have decent light output but are known for the ton of color. the cuttoff is quite sharp but not super sharp like a S2k,Tsx, TL or Evo 8.
Easier to install would be the E46 i believe but it can sit right up against the bracket, you won't have to raise the projector like in the skafia tutorial.
Hella G3 ballasts are good as well, if you can't find those try to find the one i have Matushita which are ranked number 2 beside the Hella Ballasts (they are potted as well) meaning they are resistent to water.
Wiring harness is a must i'd say you can splice the wiring like what skadia did but each ballast puts out something like 15 watts at start up then decends. stock wiring can only hold so much. HIDs take less power to run but take a more power at startup.

E55 is pretty easy and seals up nicely with the stock rubber boot if you remove the ears from the back of the projector. Although the **** of Integra HID retrofits, I wouldn't hesitate to do it again with the E55's.
